The drilling workers should be trained before oil drilling in order to reduce possibleaccidents in the drilling process. To simulate the drilling and well control process,corresponding drilling scenes and well control diaplays are needed, so that the drillingworkers can have a vivid drilling environment and their operations can be revealed, bywhich the purpose of the simulation training can be achieved. As for this purpose, it'snecessary to study the 3D animation as well as all kinds of well control displays duringdrilling. This thesis discusses the simulation of Well control process and puts emphasis onthe research of computer animation and its application in drilling and well controlsimulation.The main work of this thesis includes four parts:(1) It Studies and the simulation of well control process,designs the model of wellequipment and gives the modeling of well control process and the scheme of simulation.(2) The simulation of some dynamic scenes that usually happen during the drillingand well control process is made by the computer animation techniques, such as therotating of turnplates and the control of the blowout preventors.(3) The 3D computer animation and control of the blowout and the fire followingare accomplished.(4) The 2D scenes of the state under the well during the well control process aredisplayed by programming with C++ language, which can be used to simulate the controlof blowout preventor, the flow of the mud and gas under well, and the switch control ofvalves on the pipes.
