Research On The Network Management Of Intelligent Terminals Based On UPnP

- With the rapid development of computer and communication technology,the NGN(the Nexts Generation Network) is used more and more widely. These intelligent terminals integrate functions, for example, Wi-Fi, WLAN, ADSL.Then the network manage companys have some new problems to resolve.how to traverse FW/NAT, how to realize zero configure? how to realize batch long-distanceupgrade?how to watch state of equipments?UPnP (Universal Plug and Play) Protocol is in-depth analysised firstly in this paper and its application in communication system is studied. The groundwork of this paper is as follows:1. Inport a new network management frame of intelligent terminal;it agglomerates in layer 3.2. Propose a FW/NAT (FireWall/Network Address Translator) traversal solution to the communication.This scheme has utilized "Equipment finding and controlling" mechanism offered by UPnP. It's simple and convenient to realize, general and easy to use for End-Users.3. Realize the security management of the NGN terminals.4. realize batch long-distanceupgrade and the zero configure for the end users.It designs a common module base on UPnP in this text.it includes setup and initial device,subscription request,subscription event,and shut down the device.and then designs some common class with program language C.We had a test in the lab, and tested iAD, IPTV(TV Over IP). The result proved the network management is feasible.
