Tourism has developed rapidly in the past decades. The development ofinformation technology is a powerful impetus, which accelerates the development oftourism. The appearance of the tourism information system is an embodiment of thecombination of information technology and tourism. It can greatly improve the servicestandard and management quality of tourism industry, which consequently acceleratesthe progress rate of tourism industry.Combining with existing tourism information system functions, intelligent tourisminformation system highlightes the construction of tourism expert system. It includesknowledge base, database, method base, model base, etc. Intelligent tourisminformation system provides individualized solutions to the tourist with different needs.Meanwhile it provides many kinds of forecast information about traveling to the tourist. And it provides three-dimensional modeling about the tourism destination and thetraveling routing, which enables the tourist to have enough preparation for traveling. The main research contents of this thesis are as following:(1) The paper analyzed thoroughly the existing tourism information system, anddiscussed its shortcomings. We prospected tourism information system for thefuture development. In the future "Virtual Tourism Information System","Intelligent Tourism Information System", "Integrated Tourism InformationSystem" and "e-commerce" will get rapid development.(2) We gaven a detailed requirements analysis about intelligent tourism informationsystem. Based on the RUP theory, we established the system visualization modelby using the UML modeling language. In requirements modeling stage the use casemodel was established. In design stage, we established the static structural modeland the dynamic behavioral model. We used component diagram and deploymentdiagram to construct the system's realization model.(3) According to the expert system inference engine and knowledge base theories, wediscussed the methods of knowledge acquisition, knowledge representation, reasoning, etc in the intelligence tourism information system. The tourism planningsystem and the tourism recommendation system are given. The tourism planningsystem arranges economy tour lines for tourists in terms of tcurists' vacation plan.According to the individual needs of tourists, sush as travelling time, hobbies, consumption level, the tourism recommendation system recommends the scenicsite for the tourist.(4) It is needs the support of powerful data resources in order to constrcting thetraveling expert system. In the development process, we designed a detaileddatabase. Using Oracle Spatial component management space attributes data, werealized the spatial data and the attribute data seamless integration. This isconducive to the sharing of information, concurrency control, and data securityrestoration.(5) The intelligent information inquiry system was realized. The content of inquiryincludes tourist resources, scenic area, scenic spot, and correlation serviceinformation of traveling. The range of service involves traveling, live, eat, buy, andentertainment. There are three inquiry approaches: (1) Inquiry way by name that iscommonly used. (2) Inquiry way by the attribute value. This is a fuzzy inquiry way. When inquires the user does not need to know the concrete thing name, but onlyneeds input the related parameters by himself, and then the system carries on thesearch, in the last the system output the results of meeting condition to the user. (3)Inquiry way by neighbor search. It searches some thing of certain range around acentral position.(6) The bus information inquiry system was realized. There are three inquiryapproaches: (1) Inquiry way by bus name. (2) Inquiry way by bus name, whichpass a certain bus station. (3) Inquiry way by public traffic transfer plan. It suggeststo the user to the station name that is before the transfer station, and how manystations, which this transfer plan will pass by.
