To meet modern production of float glass manufacturing high efficiency,automation and intelligent, and corresponding products to further enhance thequality of float glass to achieve the online detection of defects as a seriousproblem. With computer technology and the rapid development Imageprocessing technology in the field of industrial application testing has becomean important industrial automation content. Based on the existing Float GlassDefect Detection and related literature and technology applications on thebasis of to a set of float glass to achieve major defects online real-timedetection system. The system is based on high-speed and high-resolutionlinear array CCD sensors, and user-friendly interface. The maximum width of2,500 mm plate is detected, and the operating speed is not more than 1.5m/s.Error vibration amplitude is less than 1 mm, and longitudinal testingrequirement is to achieve the horizontal resolution of 0.5 mm~*0.5 mm.Detection error is less than 1mm size. Glass bubbles on the surface, a mixtureof convex, scratches and other defects can be identified by the system innondestructive testing way. Replaced the traditional manual testingmethods, and improved detection accuracy and efficiency.This paper is structured as follows:1. On the CCD and the principle of the system applicable to the selection ofCCD2. On the image processing technology, the basic concept, including itsdevelopment, features, applications, the future direction of developmentand the basic image processing methods.3. Focuses on image segmentation, defects from the target area andperimeter, and other parameters, Images calculated round was flawed and elongation indicators feature vector component to the type of defectidentification and categorization To further optimize the production of floatglass to provide detailed data.4.
