Recently software architecture has emerged as one of the primary research areas in software engineering. One of the key technologies to the development of large-scale software-intensive system. People gradually realize that Software architecture play an important role in software development and a good Software architecture is the factor which leads to success of a software system.With the development of computer network and relative technology, Web has become one of the strongest tools for communication. The developed distributed applications in Web have showed more advantages than C/S applications. Many application systems based on C/S in PC or local network are gradually turning to the developed application based on B/S. On the other hand, to present agent-based technology became a method to solve complex and distributed problem. Plunging software agent into B/S software architecture may gain better flexible,dynamic and adaptive etc. General, usable and reusable properties of B/S software architecture should be improved.Firstly, this paper analyzes basic concept and theory of software architecture. Secondly, It gives an overview of the software Agent by introducing its origin,status in quo and perspective, concept. Finally, the dissertation expatiated on the Multi-Agent System's concept,theory and specification. According to analysis and study theory between software architecture and software agent, agent-based B/S software architecture style is presented by combining software architecture with software agent. And it presents a software development method, agent-based B/S software architecture style. Finally, Electronic Government System is regarded as an example to analyze and verify. The whole model based on the established network protocol adopts layered structure. And it can be divided into four parts: Network layer, System layer, Agent layer and Application layer. The paper analysis the function and characteristic of each layer.
