With the rapid development of the science and the technology and with the high improvement of the life level, the amount of the mobile telephone has increased sharply. It has become a popular tool for the communication in the modern society. Meanwhile, it has been a highlight problem that whether the radiation from the mobile handset may make some side-effect on the human body. Because the antenna of a mobile handset is so near to a human head, that is situated around the field of the induction and the radiation, its radiation of the microwave might be strong enough to make some thermal and non-thermal effects on the head.In the term of the above problem of the radiation, a simulation of the electromagnetism radiation made by a mobile handset based on a human head model is fulfilled by using the algorithm of finite difference time domain. Anymore, the distribution of SAR is utilized to analyze the effect of the electromagnetism waves on the head model.Three steps are adopted in the computing mission. Firstly, the electrical field is calculated by using the FDTD method based on the XFDTD software after the situable boundary conditions and the meshed cell are defined. Secondly, the human head and the antenna of the mobile handset are modeled and are meshed into the grids cells. Finally, the intensity of the electrical field and the distribution of SAR are calculated and analyzed with the condition of the peak value of the 900MHz electromagnetism field if it is supposed that the head is near to the antenna of mobile handset and is exposed to the field. The goal of the thesis is to understand better the radiation effect of an antenna in a mobile phone through the simulation experiments and the analysis. And more, is expected to supply an available computing method and technology.Based on the work here, two aspects may be simulated:Firstly, modeling the head in more detail can be accomplished so that the electrical parameters of some tissues such as the eyes and the muscles and et al. can exist in the meshed cells.Secondly, modeling the head in more real can be accomplished based on the technology such as CT or MRI.
