In China, we are now facing the problem of deficiency of forest resource and low-quality of wood. To improve the productive rate and the utility ratio of wood, it is a useful way to adapt the advanced video recognition technique, establish the BOF theory of log, improve the quality and precision of sawing process of log, realize the numerical and intelligent control of manufacturing in wood industry. It's also an essential way to solve the provide-and-need problem of wood.This thesis is one part of Project "948" Importing International Advanced Agricultural Technology -"importing numerical control and laser and video recognition technology in wood manufacture". Based on numerical control technology, this project combines the techniques of digital and graphic processing, BOF and three-D simulation, makes a research and development on numerical control system of band-saw machine. It provides advanced theoretical basis for designing high-precise manufacturing by numerical control, and provides new idea and method for improving the precise of processing and productive rate of wood manufacturing.With the present supply of the equipments in the laboratory, the procession of this research endeavors on using video recognition technology to take the shape parameter of the log cross section, and processing and storing the parameter according to digital and graphic technique; establishing optimal designed mathematical model, setting parameter to different plank styles, kerf breadth, plank rank ect., as well based on computer graphics theory, realizing three-D reconstruction of BOF, assisted with CAD; based on BOF and simulation, adapting advanced computer numerical control technique to control each step-motor's three-D controlled clamping and forward-backward, making the optical sawing processing of plank and timber according to the theory of best timber-produced rate.The research of this project is meaningful to improve the productive rate and utility ratio of wood, and is also important to realize the numerical and intelligent control of manufacturing and processing in wood industry. It is especially suitable for the economic feature of importing wood largely in our country. Therefore, it is promising for development in wood industry.
