Chinese Text Enter Research For Wearable Computing

Wearable computer is a new kind of mobile computing system. It supplies the power of Computing and interaction anywhere. It combines human with computer tightly. It is informed the "Computing should fit human and contribute to the combination between human and machine". One of the important branches of the research in wearable computer is human and computer interactive. As the important aspect of HCI, text input is the keystone of study in wearable computing, mobile communication and mobile computing. But the research in wearable computing text type is still underway. For the purpose of improving the interactive efficiency, we do research in test and analyzing of wearable computing text type.In this article, we do research in wearable computing text type. The main content of this article is discussed as follows:①At first, we discuss the wearable computing, mobile computing, text input. It contains the consept, application,text input of mobile phone and mobile computing.②Then we give the summary of text input device . It contains the suitable application, characteristic of device and the development of keyboard's layout.③Designing the platform for Chinese text input. It contains project and implement of obtaining the twiddler's keystroke information, designing the program for analyzing the samples and phrase test.④Designing the experiment for text input test by using principle of experiment designing.Studying the Chinese referenced samples, supply scientific samples to the experiment..⑤Analyzing the data of input test, and discussing the efficiency of input device.Give a conclusion about which input device suit for wearable computer.⑥On the basis of analyzing the Twiddler type error,letters'frequency of Chinese and characteristic of fingers, we design a new layout of Twiddler and test its performance.
