The big lagging, non-linear and time-varying usually appears seriously in theprocess of heat treatment, and the large bogie-hearth resistance furnace has morecharacters such as strong coupling, disturbance of temperature field because of itslarge heating space. So it brings great difficulties for temperature control. Therefore,It is so important to have a successful solution to control the furnace temperature.Firstly, the paper comprehensively analyzes the present situation, developmenttrends and problems about the application of temperature control of largebogie-hearth resistance furnace.Secondly, according to the problems system of MIMO, the time of large lag andgreat coupling, a kind method of combining predictive control and fuzzy control isgiven. That is, use the fuzzy control unit as an assistant unit to optimize andcompensate the closed loop in the basis of Generalized Predictive Control. TheSimulink shows that the Predictive and fuzzy control algorithm have a satisfyingcontrol function to control the MIMO, pure lag and great coupling system.According to the request of heat treatment, a bogie-hearth resistance furnacetemperature control system was given the function of test, control and manage basedon field bus technology. The system is composed of two layers of computer controlstructure, basic automation is completed to control the action of bogie and Powercarriage, lift and seal of sand sieve grading and furnace's gate by SIMEN PLC.Supervisor is made up with industrial computer from Yanhua corporation of Taiwan,and fulfills many functions such as configuration, supervision, alarm, table, etc. Thesoftware of temperature control system is operated simply with intuitionistic menu,good controlling effect ,and with the characteristic of active pictures, highadjustability, high reliability, and high stability.The production of the paper follows: the key technical problem is settledsuccessfully in the process of manufacturing great heat treatment equipment bydesigning the large bogie-hearth resistance furnace, the development of heattreatment technics requiring high temperature asymmetry and precision is furthered, the quality of press vessel and so on is greatly improved,production automation ispromoted in heat treatment machining Industry, and the mature technology and thereliability running experience of the device can give successful experience formanufacturing great heat treatment equipment and alteration.
