This is a show's times. Today, media culture is so prosperous, theappearance of the TV beauty competition program makes the beautycompetition activity with a long history already transform into a TVBeauty Contest Show one after another, what it bore the weight of hasalready not merely been " beautiful standard ", have been given moresymbol meanings yet.According to background of one's own development of TV, the TVbeauty competition program arises at the historic moment under thepushes of mass culture and "entertainment" spring tide, it is a kind ofform of expression that the TV program innovates under a market-basedcondition, it is the response to the daily TV melts, story, entertainment.According to social culture background, the TV beauty competitionprogram is the affirmation to the male right culture of the traditionalsociety, to a kind of misleading of female value, at the same time it is themodern consuming society and consuming culture's outcome, and hasoffered the hotbed for the prevailing of wind of consumerism to a certainextent.Seeing that the research to the TV beauty competition program ofdomestic academia has not been fully launched yet at present, I regard ourcountry's contemporary TV beauty competition program as the researchobject mainly, attempt to proceed from the multidimensional visualangles of mass culture, feminism, consumerism.
