Initial cell search is one of the key procedure for mobile communication system. User Equipment could search a variable cell and get PN code synchronization, symbol and frame synchronization. Only finishing the initial cell search, UE can get more information for the cell and other information for the close cell, then UE could listen the call or make a call.Random access procedure is one of the key procedures for wireless communicat ion system. The collision that arises in this procedure will directly affect the success of user access asw ell as the utilization of the radio resource.The paper does the research on initial cell search and uplink synchronization access, meanwhile simulates intial cell search and uplink synchronization access algorithm which is based on standard of LTE which is related to TD-SCDMA. After analyzing the simulation result and algorithm, the paper proposes a way to improve the initial cell search algorithm which uses power Eigen-Window, compared with these two simulation results, the results proves the new algorithm can get a better performance on error detection probability of initial cell search.Because wireless channel is very important in wireless communication, and in order to provide a better channel simulation environment for the research of initial cell search and uplink synchronization access, the paper researches mobile communication channel at first part, then simulates the wireless channel based on Jakes model which satisfy the second order matrix and simulates MIMO channel model which is defined in the 3GPP TR 25.893v6.0.0 reference model.
