The Key Technologies Of Mobile Streaming Media System And The Platform Implementation

The 3^rd Generation mobile communication network not only came from TDMA, but also came from CDMA. The 3G system has the capability to transmit the high-speed data, which rangs 384kbit/s to 2Mbit/s.Thus it is possible to transmit multimedia stream which has huge data quantity.With the development of 3G network and the updated wireless communication protocol, the mobile network provider is able to provide broadband data transmission and reception services. The streaming media service is one of the important services among them. The 3GPP organization has revised a series of specifications, including the suggestion of transmission rate adaptation mechanism in the updated Release 6.When launching a mobile streaming media service,the mobile streaming media servers is the core device of supporting environments. Meanwhile the key to adapting mass users is to deploy the mobile streaming media well. Because of high error rate of wireless transmission channel, long transmission delay, unsteady transmission rate,the design and realization of mobile streaming media has met some challenges.To study the above problems has some important significance. In this paper, the 3GPP specification of streaming media service and the requirement of streaming media has been introduced. The system framework of streaming media has been analyzed and then the technique of MSM-CDN(Mobile Streaming Media-Content Delivery Network)has been described.. Also the two key techniques of mobile streaming media servers has been studied here, that is: mobile streaming media transmission protocol;mobile streaming media transmission rate adaptation technique.The organization of this paper is: first the MSM-CDN and its important study field has been fully discussed, among which the "Content Delivery" is carefully discussed. Three popular arithmetics is also studied and compared here.Second,the two important techinique has been particularly analyzed:mobile streaming media transmission protocol including RTSP,RTP/RTCP,mobile streaming transmission adaptation,including the study background,the mechanism,and the simulation.In the last,the design and the realization of the streaming media servers has been analyzed.
