Nowadays, enterprise informatization has become an important sign for measuring its advanced level of production and management. The construction of enterprise Management Information Systems is a major task for its informatization process. In the 1990s, the environment in which enterprise stay is varying profoundly, the management mode of enterprises also changed a lot. The enterprise management information system is supposed to be acquiring the flexibility to accommodate with various changes. So, it is important for us to research on the design method of flexible enterprise management information system which help to improve the production efficiency and its management level.The paper analyzes the development process and technology of MIS in details, and studies on the design method of flexible enterprise management information system. This page presents a newly flexibility of MIS which could be separated as user-oriented flexibility, developer-oriented flexibility and enterprise-oriented flexibility. The paper also presents the flexible system structure of MIS based on research of construct method for flexible production MIS. Combining with the project of production device real-time monitoring and enterprise information integration automation system, this paper develops a flexible production MIS with .NET framework based on the flexible MIS design research.Practice has proved that the architecture of flexible management information system is open, extensible, reusable, and it has good adaptability to external and internal environment. The application system effectively integrate the foundational information, greatly enhance the automation level and solve the contradictions of disconnection between decision making system in up level and production process system in low level.
