Researches And Realization On Key Technologies Of Reusable Learning Resource Repository

Learing resource repository is the core of network distance education. Due to the different format on describing resources and the different method on invoking resources, the resources stored in resources repository can not be shared in some external application system. It blocks the development of distance education. In order to solve the above problems, this paper studies deeply and applies learning object and reusable system on construction of learning resources repository.According characteristics and classification of reusable learning object, based on Learing Object Metadata(LOM) which was put forword by Learning Technology Standards Committee(LTSC) in IEEE, referring to the Content Packaging Informatin Model which was put forword by Distance Learning Technology Standards Committee(DLTSC) in China, this paper presents learning object's XML model and provides corresponding XML binding. After having analyzed hiberarchy of reusable system, this paper presents system model based on Web Service, which is focusing on reusable data, and also presents methods of software developing based on Web Service, which is supplement of traditional methods of software developing and guide the developing of reusable learning resources repository.Then the resources repository that is based on learning object model and Web Service is developed. On the one hand, the data structure of learning resources that is managed in resources repository is defined with learning object model, and this paper provides a method which make a dynamic mapping between the structure of learning object metadata and the structure of table in database for storing learning object metadata to raise the efficiency on querying. On the other hand, this paper designs the monolithic framework using the system model that is based on Web Service and focused on reusable data, and designs the WSDL document of primary component of learning resources repository.This paper provides some codes under different system framework with on picking up resources storing in learning resources repository to testify the reusability of learning resources repository. After analyzing the codes, the SOAP message transported in invoking and the designed WSDL document, it is indicated in the learning resources repository constructed in this paper that the format describing resource is universal and extensible, platform on invoking data which is stored in resource repository is iirrespective, and data sharing is at its maximum.
