Study And Design Of Configurable Instrument System

The Technology of virtual instrument has been used to the online testing systems. The virtual instrument is an electric testing system composed of series of hardware modules and software modules, with which the traditional instrument can not be comparable in aspects of functions, maintainability, applications and upgrade. Technology of developing virtual instruments is classified into two kinds, one is optimizing technology based on source code, the other configurable technology, the above two kinds of technology are essentially configurable technology on different levels, however their goals are the same, that is to improve the efficiency of developing a new testing system. On the base of analyzing virtual technology and configurable technology, a configurable virtual instrument system model is proposed.The save of configuring information often needs the help of database technology, in this paper the mechanism and technology of how to use database on CVI developing platform are discussed, and a database fit for requirement is also designed. The real database is core of an configurable software, so a real time database is constructed, organized and managed by the means of data object chain lists, that makes the modules independent each other. The interface is an important medium between the machine and operators, an environment of configuring interface is provided, through which attributes of elements on a panel and real time object associated with controls can be configured. The software module is designed into device independent, which is easy to debug and update. With the help of DataSocket technology, the system becomes more open.The integrating testing results by loading all modules needed indicate that the total design is doable and the design of each module is also correct.
