The design in this paper of craftwork glass thickness controller is to implement the smart control of glass thickness. While, to ensure that the thickness of glass is in a certain range, most of enterprises adopt eyeballing or some simple ways of measurement. In that terrible circumstances, people often feel fatigue, so that labor experience and psychosis restrain quality of products, which leads to instability of excellent production.System synchronizes several techniques including single chip microprocessor, electric measurement and neural network to design thickness controller. The component of electric measurement get the thickness value online; then the value is sent to single chip microprocessor, transformed to control voltage by neutral network algorithm; so the velocity can be controlled by that voltage to implement thickness control.According to the characteristics of system and circumstances of experiment, this project will be carried out using the method of theoretical analysis, frame design and research. The whole process combines practice and theory, in order to improve on the earlier design.This dissertation goes deep into research on thickness controller based on neural network. First, author gives an overview of latest development and state, introduce the recent fruit and application. Further more, this dissertation details basic theory of craftwork glass thickness controller and its whole design. In the design schema, hardware circuit and software are all discussed. Software implements output display and neural network algorithm. The circuit designed implements thickness controller. Finally, to survey reliability of controller, the simulation is given and reliability index can be obtained.Experiment validates the effectiveness and feasibility of craftwork glass thickness controller, implements survey of production in the environment of high temperature, which meets the customer's need. Also the controller reduces the cost and improves the efficiency.
