With the complicated and large-scale application of distributional application software based on CORBA in industry and commercial domain, it has increasingly become the focus of attention to enhance the reliability and the availability of distributional application system, especially the large-scale distributional system. Whether we can effectively manage the middleware objects distributed on multitudinous servers or not will directly affect the usability and the performance of distributional application system, and the direct basis of managing the distributional application system is to monitor the running state of the distributional application system. It is a research topic which is well worth studying to discover and localize as soon as possible the crashed nodes and the expirated service object, to analyze the potential failure or hidden danger of the system through the running state, to redeploy the service according to the monitoring result, and to provide the user a distributional application system which is safe, manageable, useful and easy to maintain.Using distributed object technology based on the CORBA, with the large-scale transaction processing system as research background, this essay has conducted research on the monitoring technology of the Distributional Application System, designed and realized a monitoring system targeted at the large-scale transaction processing.The main work of this essay includes:1. It analyzed the development tendency of distributional system monitoring patterns, compared the contents and characteristics of different kinds of monitoring patterns, and pointed out the limitation of the existing monitoring patterns in the application of the large-scale transaction processing system.2. Combining the system structure designing principle of the distributional system with that of the monitoring system, it proposed a general framework of distributional system monitoring model based on the CORBA, and elaborated on the designing pattern of this monitoring model.3. On the basis of the distributional system monitoring model proposed above, it designed a monitoring system targeted at the large-scale transaction processing system, including the monitoring proxy design, the monitoring module design, the deploying module design as well as the data storage pattern design, and elaborated in detail some key technologies in designing: Load computation, error monitoring, data buffer mechanism and object pool technology.4. It realized the monitoring subsystem of large-scale transaction processing system on the CORBA StarBus platform, and mainly introduced the realization of monitoring the state of service object, monitoring the state of application server, monitoring the state of the database and the deployment service...
