There is a basic scheme to host mobility support in Mobile IP. The purpose is to provide continuous and optimal Internet access for users in motion as well as fixed nodes. Actually, not only mobile nodes but also entire mobile networks need mobility support. The study of network mobility support will be emphasized in IPv6, the new generation of Internet Protocol. In future, network mobility will be applied widely. This thesis is devoted to study of the Network Mobility (NEMO) Basic Support Protocol. NEMO route optimization problem is carefully analyzed. Route optimization is significance for NEMO. The thesis proposed approximately route optimization in the base of the summaries of the NEMO extension protocol and others RO models. When NEMO move out of home network, but not far away, we think the communications between mobile network node and correspondent node via home agent are approximately optimal. So when a temporary home agent is in service of NEMO as home agent in foreign network, the communications between mobile network node and correspondent node via THA are approximately optimal. Also, the traffic in home network is reduced notably and the overhead of network is improved. In the THA protocol, a temporary home agent serve NEMO in foreign network and a new bi-directional tunnel between the MR in NEMO and the temporary home agent is established. The THA protocol resolves NEMO route optimization problems. The process of the protocol register and secret keys distributing is designed to protect the THA protocol's security. In last of the thesis, the performance of the THA protocol was evaluated and appraised by the simulation analysis.
