Research Of The Security Framework Based On MML Exchange Standard

With the developing of the computer security technology, sharing and exchange of the medical information in the medical information industry have been offered the feasible platform and technological guarantee. The regional health system is composed of the original heterogeneous medical information systems compose in different medical institutions. How to efficiently and safely exchange the confidential patient information between the medical institutions becomes the key problem in the research of the regional system.We briefly introduce the standardization research of electrical medical record in the world, related technology and current status. And then this article focuses on the key problem which is very serious in almost every different version's EMR standardization, lack of the integrated security framework. Compared with different EMR exchange standards, we choose the MML(medicine markup language) standard as the research subject.And then, Using the extend mechanism which is reserved in this standard, we design a new integrated security framework. The new MML standard includes encryption process control and multi-signature scheme and can fulfill the complex security requirements though modifying some current nodes and adding some new nodes.We improve the multi-signature algorithm with document decomposition which was presented by Tzong-Chen Wu.Finally, we implement a exchange platform of heterogeneous electronic medical records. And draw a conclusion about current research work and shortcoming.
