With the great development of the PC Technology and multi-media technology, ATM (Automated Teller Machine) has become an important method to provide financial service for the bank's customer as a convenient tool instead of the manual work. The quantity of a bank's ATM and its management level is related to degree of bank's automation. Therefore, the ATM transaction is now growing rapidly in the past few years, and there is a great demand of both ATM quantity and quality from the bank. On the other hand, the bank hopes to in crease the flexibility and the redeveloping capacity of the ATMC (Automated Teller Machine Client) software. But actually, there are still many disadvantages in the ATMC software in the market. Firstly, most of the ATMC software can only support one or a few more certain brand of device. Some can only support one kind of brand; others even can only support one type of one certain brand. This cause the bank reliant on a certain ATM supplier, once some device error happens; the bank can only replace it with the spare part from the original manufacture, which will increase the cost. Also it increase the service cost due to the multi-brand of ATM type/brand one bank have. Secondly, the operating conditions of ATMC software are complex and multiplex. Some run onOS2 system of IBM, others run on WINDOWS system. This also causes the limitation to the flexibility. The ATMC software in this paper is base on the latest CEN/XFS V3.03, and is engaged in create a platform for the multi-vendor environment. This paper introduce the basic theory of ATM technology, deeply research the CEN/XFS standard, meanwhile realize the multi-platform ATMC software base on the experience during the trouble-shooting and problem solution. There are six chapters in this dissertation. Chapter 1 introduces the resource and background of the system. Chapter2 introduces the CEN/XFS standard in details and researches the related technology. And chapter 3 demonstrates the construction of the whole software. Chapter 4 presents the realization of the software on some point functions. Chapter 5 is the parameter setting and runnig result analyzing...
