Chaotic motion is a complex nonlinear motion, whose trajectory of the orbits in the phase plane is very complex but not stochastic. The chaotic phenomenon has been observed in a lot of real systems and the research on chaos has been focused on chaotic control and application now. On the other hand, the dynamic properties of chaos signal such as ergodicity, aperiodic, uncorrelated, broadband and noise-like have been proved to be useful for communication. The complexity, singularity and wide potential application of chaotic dynamic systems make the research on the chaotic control and synchronization theory to be more challenging. The research of the field becomes a new research focus in nonlinear science fields.In this paper, a novel sixth-order Chua's circuit is introduced. The DSP-based sixth-order Chua's chaotic attractor generation and its application to secure communication are investigated. Based on the dimensionless state equations, using appropriate discrete and extended transformations, a DSP approach is developed here to physically realize such a sixth-order Chua's chaotic attractor. As a typical application of this kind chaotic attractor, we design a new secure communication system via DSP implementation and give the experimental result. Generally, it is creative to have mentioned the appropriate discrete and variable proportion transformation. And based on this theory, we have fulfilled a new secure communication system by using DSP.
