Research And Improvement On Fairness Of Congestion Control Mechanism Of FAST TCP

In recent years, rapid inflation of Internet scale is not only brought forward a higher request to network equipment, also impelled embedded research in congestion control.There are two primary components in end-to-end congestion control: one is the link algorithm executed by network devices, such as routers or switches; the other is the source algorithm executed by host computers or edge devices. And fairness is one of most important criterion to measure congestion control mechanism.FAST TCP is the new variant of TCP proposed by Netlab. We analysis the congestion control mechanism and fairness of FAST TCP. The major work of this paper is improving FAST TCP to avoid unfairness in rerouting and avoid persistent congestion.
