A Brief Analysis On Chinese Symbols Of TIME Magazine Covers

This thesis takes Chinese symbols of TIME Magazine covers as its research objectives and chooses 63 covers of that magazine ranging from March 3, 1923 to January, 2007.By the research on Chinese symbols of TIME magazine covers of different periods and background, the images of China given by TIME magazine are analyzed. What is more, the images of China from perspective of American nation's interests in different periods are also summarized so as to point out the influence of ideology of TIME magazine cover under the framework of American interests. From the statement above, the relationship of impartial news report of western countries and national interest is further discussed. At last, some beneficial thoughts are presented as my country's international image is built in this era.
