The Effect And Influence Of Mass Media On Rural Area

Mass media in rural area was seldom studied systematically in the past, and only in recent years does it attract researchers attention. As a matter of fact, the function of mass media could not to be ignored at this particular period that the Chinese society is on its way to the integration of urban and rural areas. The condition of rural area was changed a lot and will be constantly changing in the future. On account of this condition, the role media plays is more abundant and so it is with its influence. Abandoning the old method on research, this paper is not exclusively for the content of media but beginning with the components of media. It analyses how the mass media carries out the communication in rural area. Meanwhile, applying to the methodologies such as sampling data and investigation, this paper studies the influence of mass media on the rural society. Based on the analysis above, this paper tries to prove that, despite the constant influence and changes the mass brought to the urban life, it also makes great impact on the changing rural society. It is obvious how mass media will impact on rural life.
