Interactive whiteboards have been widely used in classrooms. They provide a new and strong technical support for education's informationization. Their unique functions and user friendly designs reflect modern education's philosophy, which have had a far-reaching influence on the development of the classroom instruction. However, because of the high cost of the European and American interactive whiteboards and the inadequacy of the software system and resource localization, the applications of interactive whiteboards are very limited. Due to this, the Doctor and Master Laboratory of Jilin University has developed interactive wireless orientation electronic whiteboards. They possess several advantages, such as precise positioning, rapid tracking speed, very low cost, and their software design highly conforming to Chinese cognition. All these advantages have adapted to China's national conditions, which are good for their promotion. Unfortunately, currently, there is not a resource database, which is possible to provide support for them.The thesis's about a project-related research of interactive wireless orientation electronic whiteboards. Its purpose's to utilize their performance advantages to explore the theoretical and technical meanings of their resource databases'establishment, and based on the meanings to construct a database system. The followings are the main contents of the thesis:1. IntroductionThis part summarizes the development and existing problems of interactive whiteboards and their resource databases. It gives a basic idea of the databases'design, and determines the main contents of the thesis.2. Review of LiteratureThis part describes the knowledge of interactive whiteboards, dissects the hardware and software features of interactive wireless orientation electronic whiteboards, and analyzes their functions and application superiorities in teaching. Based on the deeper understanding of the concept of teaching resource databases and the analysis of current problems of China's teaching resource databases, the thesis proposes a preliminary definition of interactive wireless orientation electronic whiteboard resource databases, and elaborates the characteristics which the databases should have.3. Research MethodologyThis part summarizes the inspiration of the resource database system design given by constructivists'learning theory, information need theory, and knowledge management theory. Based on the integrableware theory, the thesis presents a new design idea,"Three-Ware Forming". It also analyzes the design principles and development steps.4. Systematic Analysis and DesignThis part sets a design goal, and analyzes the system objects, resources, and functions of interactive wireless orientation electronic whiteboard resource databases. Based on them, it builds up the overall framework by using a software design tool. It also designs a UML static model for the resource database system, and uses standard graphics to describe the use cases and main categories of the system.5. Module Design and Technical RealizationAccording to the hierarchical structures of the system, this part briefly describes the internal structure and roles of every function module level by level, and analyzes the work principle, work flow, and core techniques of main modules.
