with the fast development of Internet, and the continual innovation of computer technology, coupled with the popularity of PC, it's becoming possible to use computer to share information with the on the net. But it's difficult for us to share information based on net for the reasons: differences among information resources which stem from the unbalance of the development of information modernization, and the complexity of the net itself. It is becoming hot spot to find ways to share information fast, efficiently and economically. The LDAP directory server brings us some help. The structure of the server is optimized for searching for information, it's efficient to share information as well as economical with the help of the LDAP Server to manage the meta data. System in question in this paper is implemented to fulfill such requirements."Data directory service system based on Internet" stores meta data of tables of database as well as that of remote sites in LDAP server, with the help of LDAP sever, it's faster to locate the information of the meta data, so that it's more efficient to extract data from database with the help of the meta data from LDAP server, when the data is extracted, system will organize the data into XML file which is independent of the platform, and is convenient to transfer among sites. We bring multithread into system in order to improve the concomitant performance, and with the help of design patterns, we improve the reusability of the internal module. In this paper, we first introduce some vital technology we will use when we realize the system, then we analyze the requirements of the system, based on which we discuss the architecture of the system as well as the detail design of its components, and at last we realize the whole system in JAVA.The result of the system tells us that it's feasible and efficient. The system is successful and can satisfy the requirements, in addition it supports expanding.
