A design of an intelligent radio frequency network analyzer based on SOC (System on Chip) is described in the paper. The paper introduces the general principle of this device, also introduces the hardware and software design of every module of the whole system. The device is mainly used to measure the transmission characteristic and reflect characteristic of the linear, time-invariant network. The frequency range of the device is from 0Hz to 1000MHz. The device is suitable for the testing of the high frequency tuner.The device is intelligent by the usage of a series of new high performance chips. (1) Using the C8051F060 as the control core of the whole system, the chip introduced by an American company named Cygnal is a single-chip microcomputer with high integration.The chip has a lot of high performance resources such as ADC,DAC,PCA,etc. By using this chip, the hardware design of the device becomes simply. (2) The signal resource is achieved by using the chip AD9852 added to the reactive circuit of phase locking loop (PLL).Compared with the traditional one, the VCO and PLL, it is more accurate and easier to control. (3) The demodulation of output signal is realized by a chip named AD8361, which has the function of automatic gain control. With the usage of the AD8361, the demodulation turns to be more easier. (4) The function of frequency marker is realized by the method of beat frequency. The Holl sensor is also used to sample the work current of the device. Connected PC with the USB, the datas are transmitted to PC for display by the chip PDIUSBD12.The device has the characteristics such as small volume, little weight, steady performance, low cost, low power dissipation, and complex function, which make it more applicable. |
