Greenhouse is the important part of installation agriculture. Crop production in domestic and overseas greenhouses shows that advanced automation and management system for greenhouse will improve the efficiency of agriculture production. With the rapid development of sensor, computer and communications technologies, the design of intelligent monitoring & controlling systems for greenhouse environmental has become one of the R&D focuses in the field of structured agriculture. The paper is dedicated to the researchAt first, the paper has introduced the history, the developing process and the present situation about greenhouse. Then the paper has analyzed the function of greenhouse environment factor. In this foundation, proposed based on the RS-485 bus greenhouse environment monitoring & controlling device design proposal. And has developed the greenhouse temperature monitoring & controlling equipment according to the plan, then has carried on the experimental.Firstly, the RS-485 bus may facilitate carries on the long-distance range multi points communication, realizes the multi points greenhouses observations and controls.Secondly, the greenhouse temperature monitoring & controlling equipment including following several modules: the temperature gathering module, the key load module, the LED display module, the control output module, implementing agency, the communication module of RS-485/232 bus, the In-System Programming module and so on. This equipment has with the computer communication, multi- spots network function.Thirdly, Imitated the glasshouse design to manufacture the plexiglass greenhouse model, facilitated the effective simulation greenhouse environment. The greenhouse temperature monitoring & controlling equipment carried on the practice examination on the model, the practice had proven that the equipment design was successful, the model to the greenhouse environment simulation was effective.By simulate running, this greenhouse has these advantages: The circuit is simple; the degree of intelligent of the greenhouse is in a high level, and the control ability is reliable, which can control the environmental factor in the greenhouse within a certain range. Ability of anti-interference of corresponding system is high, and Hot Plug can be realized, which made systematic expansion easy.
