| With the progress of the multimedia and networking technology in recent years, video-based multimedia communications have become the theme of this age and being concerned by more and more people. Meanwhile, as the computer technology has gradually gotten onto the so-called "post-PC era", wireless multimedia terminals built on embedded system and with small size become popular and necessary. The research has being hot in recent years for its powerful performance and a broad application prospects in the field.In this paper, design and implementation of a wireless video transmission terminal are carried out based on three rapid development of technology: the embedded system, Linux and WLAN. The platform uses the ARM9 (S3C2410) processor and the Embedded Linux Operation System. WLAN is used for the transmission. This thesis puts forward a total block diagram of a wireless video system and describes the design and implementation of the system's hardware platform and software platform, including the main circuit design and external interface circuit design, PCB drawing and testing, cross-compile environment building, Bootloader, Linux kernel, file system compiling, configuring and downloading. Subsequently the paper focuses on the design and implementation of each module of the terminal, including video capture module, wireless video transmission module and video display module. Finally, the thesis analyzes and tests the system performance, and brings forward some ideas and advices for future work.The wireless video system studied in this paper can be widely applied to video controlling, information household appliances, intellectual district, remote meter reading etc. The embedded video terminal equipment can be applied to more widely field after further development and perfecting. |
