After reformation and opening especially establishing the system ofSocialistic Market-oriented Economy, facing a good many challengesfrom the interior and the exterior, books-publishing industry experiencesnon-homeliness dash and transformation in our country. FollowingSocialistic Market-oriented Economy's main-body position increasinglybe defined, publishing companies start to develop its' stratagemicalconsideration and rational programming,looking culture-industry marketas microcosmic body, in order to grasp opportunity, reply challenge andrealize theirselves sustainable development.Reader service is a traditional working program in china. But now,publishing companies don't pay enough attention to reader service that itdoesn't develop well. The author argues that: reader service has itsparticular and important significance especially on the background ofbooks' publishing market in the new period,should keep pace with thetimes; publishing companies should cultivate and grow reader-service'sfunction again, then fully actualize stratagem of reader service, fostertheir new predominance to compete with an eye to intending development.Whereas this, this article inducts the theory of service science belong tomarket economy science, cutting-in from service's connotation andevolvement, and ascertains reader service's sorts & function. Lookingback the choiceness tradition of publishing reader service in ourcountry,it consults exterior surroundings, actuality and problems ofreader service in new times. It puts forward stratagem of reader service,explores and establishes its theoretic base. The last, it presents author's thinking and countermeasures about actualizing stratagem of readerservice of publishing company, that is, how to develop reader-serviceplan.
