| This paper studied automatic steel bars splitting technology based on vision feedback, aimed at solving the splitting problem in the steel bars online counting system to improve the production efficiency. The main content of this paper includes calculating steel bars status and the position of splitting wedge dynamically during the splitting process, and controlling splitting devices to split the pre and post bundle of steel intelligently.Steel bars splitting control system includes the following parts: video capturing, target recognizing, on-time decision, and movement control. Targets in video frames are detected and tracked dynamically, and certain control decisions are made to drive splitting device by hydraulic, which controls the splitting wedge to split steel bars automatically.The work of this paper includes four main parts. Firstly according to produce techniques, general framework for vision feedback control was designed, and hydraulic control was introduced. Secondly, concerning vision subsystem, how to choose hardware was discussed, and two basic question and key technology in this close loop control system were studied, that is how to recognize steel bars and splitting wedge. Thirdly, after analyzing the function and performance of every part in this system, splitting control decision and software program designed were introduced. Finally, control circuits and PLC programs were designed in details.The splitting control system designed in this paper has been working in the steel bars factory, which meets the demand of steel bars counting and splitting automatically. |
