The Analysis And Investigation Of Wireless Network Card Driver For HFA 3842 Chip

This thesis is based on the project, "The design of the embedded wireless video terminal in WinCE operation system". And the wireless network card driver and related key technology are analyzed and investigated thoroughly.At the beginning of this thesis, the background is introduced. Then WinCE operation system, the architecture of development environment and develop tools are described in detail. Then the key techniques of NIC driver are analyzed, which include the driver model of Windows CE operation system,NDIS network specification,the strategy of network packet management and zero-copy technique. Afterward, the resolution scheme of this wireless NIC driver process presented based on the HFA3842 MAC chip made by Intersil company. It is composted of the initial module, the interrupted processing module, the hardware access module, the control setting/getting module and PnP module. Each module give its function,data processing and interface and so on. At last, the driver installation, testing processing and results are given.The achievement of this paper is signified for designing the software and hardware of multiple model terminals which are used for data transferring in multiple networks. Furthermore, it will accelerate the development of multiple model terminals.
