Research Of IAD Access To IMS

As the core of the next generation network, IP Multimedia Subsystem (IMS) gets more attention from many standardization organizations, such as 3GPP, 3GPP2, ETSI, ITU-T. These organizations also give the specifications about IMS, and the vendors in the world publish their products. But as Multi-user access device, Integrated Access Device (IAD) is ill-considered in IMS, the most popular fix and mobile network. IAD registration, IAD session control and IAD charging will be the most important problems during IAD access to the IMS. And these problems also will be the emphases of this paper. These problems are solved by adding private header, using negotiation mechanism and utilizing the existing header in this paper. The detailed registration flow, call flow and charging flow including important parameters also are given in this paper.
