Summary Of The Study And Improvement Plan For WAP Protal Platform

As development of technology ,computer has been widely used in people's daily life .Now people does not just communicate with his computer ,but exchange information with more people through web .WAP---"Wireless Application Protocol" ,which is composed of a series of protocols ,connects the Internet , mobile communication net and standardized wireless communication facilities ,such as mobile phone ,mobile term inal etc , and it has objectively been a standard for accessing internet for mobile terminal .Since 2004 ,WAP operation has been greatly developed and will have a brilliant business future.As written in the paper , I study the WAP technology and our current platform ,then I bring forward a reform plan on improving the platform for being adapted to the market development and customer's requirement .The paper mainly includes the content below :WAP technology: WAP is the abbreviation for Wireless ApplicationProtocol .It is composed of a series protocols and used to standardize wireless communication facilities .It is based on the current Internet standard and uses Web application server to provide Internet or Intranet content service. A XML(Extensible Markup Language) grammar was defined by it ,all WML content is operated by standard HTTP request andit can interpret the page information that is filtered by the specified server .WAP2.0 technology: basing on the WAP1.x ,WAP2.0 integrates the newest standard and technologies of Internet ,which include XHTML, TCP/IP , Super Text Protocol (HTTP/1.1) and Transfer Layer of Security (TLS) . Under the support of the new technologies ,data synchronizatio n ,new operation and application like multi-media information service ,unified storage interface , providing configuration information and small image are added ,in the meanwhile ,the current technologies like wireless phone application ,Push technology and description for user agent characteristic are enhanced .The new technologies and application will bring us a bran-new feeling and greatly inspire our interesting for wirelessapplication service ,consequently push the development of mobile network .WAP portal platform : it is an integrative platform which set the core to WAP gateway and spans wireless communication network and in ternet .It includes six function modules : user management module ,operation management module ,SP management module ,charge-calculating and balance module ,system management module ,statistical analysis module ,external interface module .In order to improve the WAP platform's performance fora telecom provider ,the paper firstly studies the current WAP technologies and net work structure and searches the platform's deficiency .Then an analysis will be done based on the telecom provider's operation requirement andmake sure the object and range for the platform's improvement .
