The electrostatic discharge of particles in petrochemical industry can initiate the burnings, explosions and other fatal accidents. So, the effective, real-time and on-line detection of electrostatic charge of particles in the process of particles disposal is the advanced task which has attracted the most attentions.Designing of on-line measuring system for electrostatic charge of particles was introduced in this paper which is suitable for the pneumatic transport in petrochemical industry. The measurement theory of electrostatic charge for particles, the system's whole structure, working principle and the realization of controlling function and so on were introduced in this paper. It was composed of the fixed-capacity measuring instrument for electrostatic charge of particles in the scene, along with the monitor in the controlling room. The designing of measuring instrument for electrostatic charge of particles contains a fixed-capacity charge chamber which adopts Faraday pail structure mounted in the bypass of the pipeline, signal observation circuit, data collecting and communication circuit which can realize the sampling. King view was used as supervision software. I design all the controlling interfaces, The samplings were obtained by means of charge density of mass through controlling the measuring instrument for electrostatic charge of particles based on Modbus protocol. The real-time, on-line, long distance measurement and controlling of electrostatic charge of particles can be realized. The measuring system can remedy the shortage of inconvenient of manual operations for measuring electrostatic charge of particles, it can be effective in avoiding the happens of burnings, explosions and other fatal accidents in petrochemical industry. What's more, it costs less than the DCS system and other configuration software abroad. As you can see, it will have a good application prospect.The time after time sampling test of electrostatic discharge of particles shows that, the measuring instrument for electrostatic charge of particles has good repetition of sampling signal of particles when the whereabouts pipeline has the fixed length. It indicates that this controlling system is feasible and it has certain extending significance.
