Taking the harmonic suppression and reactive power compensation in a copper foil factory in Jiang Xi province as the object of study, this thesis is focused on structure, principle, control method and equipment of NHHAPF—Novel Hybrid High-capacity Active Power Filter. This research presents a self-contained technical solution of NHHAPF system.Firstly, after analyzing and comparing the existing Hybrid Active Power Filters, a NHHAPF is proposed here to meet the given situation of big factories and mine harmonic elimination. Active part is equivalent to a controlled harmonic impedance series connected with the main line. When the harmonic impedance is big enough, the harmonic current flowing into the grid will be close to zero. In the meantime, the possibility of resonance between passive power filters and grid impedance can be damped by controlling active part. In addition, the harmonic eliminating performance and the resonance damping capability are studied under the situation of a variety of power source impedance and mistuning of passive power filters. Secondly, based on the research actuality of Active Power Filter control methods, a fuzzy-recursive integral PI complex control algorithm is proposed. According to the periodic character of the reference signal, the recursive integral PI algorithm is proposed to archive zero steady state error. Besides, this thesis combines recursive integral PI algorithm with fuzzy control algorithm. In big error state the fuzzy control algorithm is used for enhancing the robustness and dynamic performance. In small error state the recursive integral PI algorithm is used for improving the control precision. Finally, a harmonic eliminating equipment system based on NHHAPF is developed. The equipment includes main circuit subsystem, control subsystem and harmonic analysis subsystem. The harmonic analysis software are composed of 7 functional modules, each module can switch and print conveniently.
