Decoupling control is one of the most advanced control methods in modern control theories. It is widely applied in steelmaking, petroleum industry, chemical industry, light industry, mechanics and war industry. It is well known that industrial proceeding is viewed as orderly and interactive process. One fluctuated variable may touch other variables. Coupling is a widespread phenomenon in industrial proceeding. Variables interact each other, giving rise to the degraded property of adjusted system. We call this progress decoupling which curtails or eliminates the obnoxious interacting.The paper applies decoupling control theory into practice on the base of PCT-â…¢process control system device. The device is made up of water system and temperature system. The experiment adopts the temperature system. The control software is King View produced by YaKong Company in Beijing. It is very good at designing interface and communication, can write simple program too.The paper firstly study the present status of decoupling control all over the world, the couple of temperature system of boiler was analyzed by step response. Then the reverse-forward-feed decoupling was studied. Forward-feed decoupling design is widely used in 2-D systems. But the flaw is that the added decoupling network may alter the character of the transfer matrix, which lead to difficult of controller design. According to this, the method called reverse-forward-feedback has the properties of converse conveying and intact decoupling.As for singular plant G(s), which inverse matrix G-1(s) doesn't exist. However, the singular plant has the most serious interaction. It can't be controlled without decoupling. Employing a poise structure method to construct system, it can reach the decoupled effect which the traditional methods don't have.In the end, the PID diagonal matrix decoupling control algorithm was adopted in the system based on the matrix transfer function, and it is compared with reverse-forward-feed decoupling method.
