Sugar industry is one of the most traditional industries in our country, and it plays a significant role in developing the national economy. Because the people have increasing demands for the sugar and competition of the global sugar industries become more drastically, we should expand the scale of the sugar industries and enhance their level of automation. Only in this way we can improve the quantities and the quality of sugar.Clarification Workshop Section is a complicated control object which has the characteristics of the non-linear, multi-constraint, and long time-delay etc. In view of the low level of automation and the old control methods in present sugar industries, this paper brings forward a Clarification Workshop Section in the sugar refinery based on S3C44B0X, and control the pH value. First, we introduced the technical process of Clarification Workshop Section in sugar refinery, then analyzed the overall project of the control system, and studied the hardware design and the software design of the system in detail.In the hardware aspect, in according to the technical requirement of sugar refinery, we had designed the drive and the control circuits of the engine of the detector set, the pH value data gather circuit, the milk of lime control circuit, the touching screen circuit and so on. In the software aspect, first I introduced u-boot 1.1.3 transplanting in the S3C44B0X, then transplanted the uClinux operating system and constructed nor-flash jffs2 file system. I had compiled the driving program according to the hardware electric circuit, and compiled the application program in according with the IEC 61131-3 Standard. I had constructed the multi-course in the uClinux system, realized the data communication between controller and server.
