Research And Implementation On Key Technology Of XML Database Grid

With the rapid development of grid and data grid, many people begin to do research to integrate database resource into the grid environment. On the other hand, XML has been more and more widely used in the area of data representation and data storage. In order to keep the XML document permanently, XML databases appear. And, these XML data can be expediently used and managed. XML database grid is a new development on the aspect of database integration and mainly focus on the uniform storage, access and management of database resources. Now, the research on XML database grid is at the underway and developing stage, the correlative implement technologies are immature, and it has not form a whole standards and specifications.In this paper, the technology of grid and database grid is thoroughly analyzed, mainly about the method of accessing database and querying database. Xml-enabled database and native XML database are compared, and native XML database is more adapted to keep XML data. Based on the grid service, the XML database resource can be accessed in two ways: one is based on database connection; the other is based on database operation. An inexact query method, called XS-Query is provided. And then, a XML database grid system GriDen-XSA is designed and implemented.The background of database grid and the characteristic of XML database are analyzed in the first chapter. Some related jobs about the research of database grid are described in the second chapter.In the third chapter, a XML Schema based query method is provided. The forth chapter is mainly about the architecture of GriDen-XSA system. In the fifth chapter, the system's implementation is provided. Including metadata service,resource searching service,data translation and so on. Finally the system's functionality is tested and analyzed.
