SOA (Service Oriented Architecture) and Web Service is the most popular topic for the current industry, SOA is an IT strategy, use it the enterprise's dispersed application can arrange into interoperability standarded services, these standarded services can quickly be mixed and reused to meet business needs. Web Service is also based on standarded protocol such as XML, SOAP, WSDL, UDDI, HTTP and TCP/IP, completely based on standarded distributed communication technology, It's indepent on platform, operating system and programming languages, Web Services developed on different development platforms (J2EE, .NET) and deployed in different operating system platforms (Unix, Linux, Windows, etc.) can be achieved easily communication.With excellent interoperability, loosely coupled properties, Web Service are attracting the attention of IT industry, it inject new vitality into the SOA. Web service applicable to application-integration, B2B integration and component reuse, it provided an inter-operating platform for the distributed system in heterogeneous environment. This paper briefly introduces Web Services Platform Architecture, it mainly comprised by the components of Web Services container, Web Services Registry, Web Services management and monitoring, Web Services workflow and transaction, Web Services security framework, information transmission system. Then this paper mainly focused on the important components -Web Services Registry. First, it analysis the registry model which defined in the latest UDDI V3 standard, the registry center and client interaction mechanism, then it described the registry's core data structures in detail. Afterward, the paper focus on the registry's internal management such as keying strategy, transfer of entity's ownership, the replication between the UDDI Registry nodes. Based on the test data management, extend the service register and query on properties and operation, subscription-based renewal mechanism, this paper improved the reliability of the registry. Finally, this paper discusses the UDDI V3 standard Web Services registry's design and implementation, detailed description of the registry's various components'implementation and execute steps, conducted tests on the system, through one use case to illustrate how to use this UDDI Registry.
