The sensor technology is one of the three major pillars of the modern information technology, and its development level is one of the important symbols for weighing a nation's scientific and technology development level. Temperature sensor is an important branch of sensor, it is frequently used in accurate or exact measurement and automation. To meet the needs of rapidly and precisely on-line measurement, dynamic calibration of temperature sensor is of great importance.North University of China carried on research on dynamic calibration of transient surface temperature sensor, and the dynamic calibration system developed by NUC is improved and optimized during the past few years. In the dynamic calibration system, a high frequency modulated high power CO2 laser is used as the driving source to heat up the sensor. On the surface a fast elevating temperature signal appears. Using the temperature signal obtained by IR detector traceable high-temperature dynamic calibration can be carried through.The frequency-response characteristics of the former surpass that of the latter, therefore it can be used as the reference value to calibrate the latter and let system error be corrected. Using the continual beam and the pulsed beam sent out by the same laser in the same system to carry on the static calibration of the infrared detector and the dynamic calibration of the temperature sensor to be checked, the differences in the environment of the sensor installing and the error caused by the change of thermo physical property can be avoided. Thus the difficult problem of traceable temperature dynamic calibration is solved.At present, the calibration system can be used to calibrate transient surface temperature sensor with a time response of the sub-millisecond level and second level. The experimental results have shown that the dynamic repeatability is good, the precision of measurement is high. We get the CHAL-010 type(OMEGA) thermocouple's error of dynamic temperature measurement by using the calibration system.The improving calibration system of sapphire optical fiber temperature sensor test system's K static characteristic parameter is discussed on the basis of theoretical and experimental studies. The output power characters of high power CO2 laser and stability of the heat-transfer metal's constant temperature field by laser heating are analyzed in the thesis, temperature distribution of zirconium metal is also analyzed and studied by using ANSYS simulation. The analysis and studies provide theoretical basis for the improving of calibration precision.
