This thesis introduces the design and realization of Petrophysical Parameter Database software on the basis of Visual C++, RDBMS-SQL Server and Components GIS.The petrophysics is essentially basic information for connecting geologic and geophysics in the geophysics research field. The petrophysics is also the foundation of building geophysical models. In recent years, the petrophysical research in oil and gas field has been experiencing drastic development, making the samples of petrophysical parameters and relevant information increase dramatically. It is necessary for us to manage these sample data with more effective methods. Therefore, we developed a petrophysical parameters database system using Tahe Oilfield petrophysical parameters. In addition, we think that the analysis of the rock should consider their spatial attributes. So introducing GIS technology into Physical parameters database is of great significance.The thesis includes four chapters. Chapter 1 presents an introduction and background information of the study. Chapter 2 discusses the theories and the development steps of the Petrophysical Parameters Database, including system design, system architecture, system development environment and database design, etc. Chapter 3 introduces the functions and operation instructions of the software. Chapter 4 is the statistical data analysis of petrophysical parameter. The last part is conclusions and advices.The main achievements of this thesis are as follows:(1) A single oilfield-class GIS visualization information system is built in petrophysical parameters database system using the analysis and test data of Tahe Oil-field. The system offers multiple levels of spatial analysis methods and realizes some functions such as, data import, management, query, thematic analysis and data output.(2) We use techniques of secondary development integrating ComGIS and Visual C++. Through developing this sol, ware, the method of developing ComGIS application software is obtained.
