The Application Of The Data Mining Technology In The Library Management System

The application of the Data mining technology in the business field enlightens the library. The characteristic of the readers of the library is large numbers, various ages, different jobs, specialties and studying fields, which brings the library individual demands. How to meet the readers' needs, improve the readers' satisfaction and serve the readers better is a problem which is worth studying. By the Data Mining technology, we can know the purpose, the tendency, the interest and the demand of the readers, so we can improve our service and become more active.The article mainly talks about the following three parts by using the relating rule and clustering analyze pattern of the Data Mining technology:(1)Catch the readers' demand and optimize the overall arrangement.Through finding out the using rule of documents, we can make the corresponding policies to optimize the overall arrangement of the library.(2)Analyze the readers' action.According to the classification of the books which the readers borrow, some of the readers' tendency and personality can be found. At the same time, different statistics and other analyses can be made to different groups on this basis.(3)Offer the books recommending service.In the large number of books in the library, there's only some that the readers are interested in. How to find out the useful bibliography efficiently becomes the main problem that the library science will study. The modern libraries supply the search service, and the readers can get the information they need in the inquiring results after they enter the key words.
