Research On The Application Of Data Mining In The Personalized Service Of College Libraries

The successful application of the Data mining technology in the business world enlightens the college library, especially a large number of data are accumulated in the informationalized process in the college library. Moreover, the data are updated at a fast speed every day, the readers, however, can not get access to the latest resources immediately; due to the readers' different ages and majors, they need different kinds of books. Then how to meet the readers'demands, provide them personalized service, and improve readers'satisfaction is well worth studying.To begin with, the thesis introduces the development of China's college libraries, and analyzes the present problems the libraries are facing. Further more, it states the concept, task and process of the Data mining as well as the relative knowledge of the classification of the books. Finally, a model of the Data mining basing on library system is designed with the work experiences. This model can be used to analyze the readers'behavior by employing the relating rule and clustering analysis so that we can obtain the readers'requirements, optimize the library resources, provide personalized service and recommendation to the readers.
