The research of Concept Map originates from early cognition-psychology's research. The Concept Map is a series of structural tokens composed by conceptual nodes and routes. The research shows that it has significant functions for learners' meaning study and knowledge construction, and can embody brain storm tool,communicating tool and so on.Visual Thinking is a kind of creative thought. The thinking function can help us think and create through chart. Visual Thinking need organic combines of vision,imagination,composition. Therefore, the static Concept Map can not promote drawers' creative thought, a Concept Map tool is needed to provide, by which drawers' creativity and thinking activity can be promoted.The traditional Concept Map editors are built based on graphical user interface. They are all constructed from the viewpoint of function, not considering the users' usable requirement. Along with the development of computer technology, the multiform user interface appear, and play important roles in each other' domains. We can only say that some certain user interface are more suitable for some tasks rather than saying that some certain user interface are better than some others. Therefore, we should design based on user centered thought, considering users' tasks first, then designing software, only so can we design usable software.In order to develop usable software, this thesis includes user-centered scenario-based design method and conception model into software development. We find the Concept Map editor is most suitable using pen-based interaction and presentation based on regular shapes, and the editing is most suitable using idiomatic gesture. Above discussions cause the research: geometry shapes recognition,command gestures recognition.This thesis uses the recognition method based on fuzzy logic for geometry shapes recognition, which is an online recognition method based on geometry features, having the advantages of high recognition rate,independent with strokes number and order; and this thesis uses a speed-based,two-stroke recognition method for arrow recognition.This thesis implements two kinds of command gestures recognition: gesture deleting and frame size adjusting. Considering similar geometry shape gestures and command gestures may appear following the increase of gestures, this thesis puts forward a reasonable implicit-separated method based on the research of gestures separating.
