Hospital Information Platform Construction Based On Workflow

Hospital information development level has already become an important signal of the modern hospitals. Hospital information system (HIS) development is transforming from hospital management information system (HMIS) which take chargement as its core, to the clinical information system (CIS) which take patients as its core. Presently, there're some critical problems in our hospital information system: almost all hospitals use different levels and transmission styles, which obstruct the communion of the hospital information; Most HIS nowadays can not take patients as its core. Patients have many difficulties when seeing a doctor, for example, waiting time is too long, but diagnosing time is too short. So we have to develop a hospital information system which use a unitary level, and take patients as its core, in order to improve our people's sanitation and health level, promote the development of our hospital information system, and settle the problems for the patients.This test briefly analyzed the development situation of the hospital information system in our country, introduced the J2EE and workflow technique, and definitely done some research on Health Level 7 (HL7).Key contents in this test are as follow:1. Analyzed and designed the whole frame of the hospital information system and the requirement and function of each subsystem.2. Analyzed the practice flow of the out-patient service and preengagement, divided the subsystem into six function modules: preengagement, registration, diagnosis, chargement, examination and checking, and administration of the dispensary. I also listed the designing process of each module, particularly. After that I designed the database of the system, and listed the key data tables. Finally, I brought the function of the system into effect by using codes;3. Introduced the electronic medical record system based on the Health Level 7 (HL7). And put it into the electronic medical record of the out-patient service. 4. Used the technique of workflow into clinical information system, designed a light weight workflow engine, and invest it into the out-patient service subsystem.5. Drew into an administrant conception of clinical path way, classified the patients by the kind of the diseases and the patients' conditions, in order to build up a prescriptive diagnose arrangement and clinical path way; we also drew into a conception of comprehensive preengagement mode, which can arrange the examining flow, reasonably. All these measures can make patients see a doctor in order, shorten the waiting time and relieve the crowed phenomenon in hospitals.
