Due to the wide applications and values of channel coding, the selection of appropriate coding method and code parameters, the simulation and analysis of system error performance become very important and significant. Therefore, this thesis aims at designing and realizing a MS-Windows based channel coding simulator, i.e. Sanxingdui Coding System (SXD-CS) - Corrector, based on the existing SXD-CS framework.This thesis firstly analyzes the existing simulation tools of communication systems. Based on the requirements of simulation tools for error correcting codes and their applications, as well as the overall framework of the SXD Project, the author presents an open-architectural, multi-functional simulation tool for communication coding system. Users are permitted to construct the simulation model of communication system and choose flexibly system parameters. The System provides comprehensive help information and detailed simulation results, and is free, open, standardized, upgradable and sharable.Next, the system functional design, module partitions, flow chartprocedures, database design, and other miscellaneous designs are presented.Several key techniques in system realization are subsequently discussed in details, that is, (1) design and implementation of channel encoder/decoders; (2) design and implementation of the modulators and demodulators; (3) detailed design of the DLLs of functional modules, including the interface design;(4) details in data sharing, file and database management, etc.Finally, the system testing is carried out, and the thesis is concluded.
