The development of Internet and Web Service brought the forward development of e-Business and the increasing demands of intelligent composition, because people hope a business process based on partners can be executed automatically according to certain rules without more human intervene.But the actual execution of composition process has several deficiencies,such as lack of flexibility,the dissatisfactory efficiency, etc.So,the design of the composition engine as one of the most efficient methods to these problems has attracted many eyes of academic and business fields.Aimming at the phenomenon and the trend, this paper puts forward a schema that combines the BPEL4WS composition mode and the semantic composition mode based on the analysis of the correlative technologies and four typical modes of Web service composition, which is an amalgamation and improvement of the two modes,and the design idea is leaving the dynamic business logic of an entire work-flow disposed by the semantic module.In the schema, the former mode assures the execution of business process, and the latter mode provides the semantic support to the service discovery, so the composition engine designed by the schema can have the semantic matching dynamically during the process execution, which makes it provide more effective services. Moreover, because of thinking out the comparability between the relations and the multi-layer model,the paper uses the multi-layer model to design the BPEL4WS module, which not only simplifies the mapped relations between the protocol and the composition engine, but also is easy to design the engine.For the sake of applying the above theories to practices, this paper designs a whole frame of composition engine according to the above schema, and expounds the design and implementation of each function module. At last, the paper validates the system function by using an example, and discusses the insufficiency of system and the research work in the futures.The research of this paper provides useful information for the research on the mode of Web service composition in the future and also advances the application of the semantic Web service composition.
