As is known, large and long tunnels are always controllable projects during railway line construction. When the tunnel is proved, the multi-point sampling being used can't totally reflect the complex geology of tunnel constructed lines, so that many unsured factors exist, such as underground rivers. Those uncertain factors become bottlenecks, which limit the whole railway line working. high-quality, high-efficiency and safely perform tunnel working is very important for accelerating the whole railway line construction process.In this paper, building visual three-dimensional model of tunnels and predicting the geology status in front of tunnels are researched. Through building the three-dimensional model, the geology structure of the tunneled part can be analyzed and observed in all directions. At the same time, the geology condition in front of the tunneled part is predicted, then the general information obtained is analyzed and researched, so that the geology status in front of the tunnel is mastered timely, which can improve the emergency ability to geology disasters, and realize tunnel construction informatization.When studying tunnels, a tunnel face geology system is developed. It obtains rock structure face information through collecting geology face images from the job site, and provide the three-dimensional visual geology images by using computer imaging technology. After these images having been processed, image characteristic extraction is done, such as texture character. According to corresponded space relations among all face images, after making use of relative object information for three-dimensional rebuilding, the tunnel three-dimensional structure is generated, on the base of which, geology conditions in front of job site are predicted in some extension and distance.This paper has some researched items. They are as follows:1. Feasibility and requirement of tunnel face image processing, three-dimensional rebuilding and prediction system are analyzed. Based on them, the whole system's structure and module function are analyzed and designed. 2. According to corresponding relations in different tunnel face rocks, the tunnel visual three-dimensional module is built.3. The three-dimensional structure is rebuilt by using these tunnel face data obtained. With these data, geology conditions in front of job site are predicted in some extension and distance.
