The Research On The User Interface Of Digital Library

The user interface is the part of orienting to user in the digital library system. And the user interface directly affects the choice and the behavior of user. The user interface can supports some help to comprehend and express the information need, construct the search strategy for users, and can support to choose information, express the search result manage the search course effectively. so, whether the design of user interface friendly and reasonable will affect the using efficiency of the digital library system.Through the study and analysis to the user interface, combined with instance,this paper describes the development,characteristic,function,the aim,principle and means of the design of user interface,the standards and ways of the evaluation of user interface ,finally, the author puts forward a bit of suggestions about constructing user interface.Based on information science,the paper generally introduces user interface.It was divided into 7 chapters. Chapter 1^st the thesis sums up the study actuality and meaning of the user interface of digital library at first,points out this study will be propitious to the progress of the theoretics and practice of digital library;chapter 2^nd introduces the defines and the development of the user interface,chapter 3^rd analyses the characteristic,makeup function and work-flow of the user interface of digital library; chapter 4^th analyses the questions principle and means of the design of user interface of digital library; chapter 5^th analyses the standards and ways of the evaluation of user interface,and give an instance of evaluation combined with some representative instance; chapter 6^th discuss some exist problem in the using interface of digital library combined with the evaluation in the chapter 5^th,and puts forward a bit of suggestions about constructing user interface; finally the last chapter Summarizing the whole paper and suggesting research directions for the future.
